Please check the NAS site often to see current listings as we generally add new contests weekly. Don’t forget to join our mailing list to receive important announcements and changes.

Through the multitude of qualifying contests (Platinum Plus, Level one, Level two) held all over the United States, athletes can qualify for the North American Strongman Championships. Learn more about the different contest levels

2013 7th Annual Strongest Man in the Forest

Every fall the changing of the leaves and the cooling weather signal the coming of a seismic event in beautiful Elkins, WV. This past Saturday marked the 7th occurrence of this event; the Strongest Man in the Forest competition once again helped kick off the Mountain State Forest Festival with a bang… and a rumble.

2013 TPS/NAS Mass. State Championships Review

On August 10, 2013, Total Performance Sports hosted one of the U.S.A.’s premiere Strongman events at our facility. We had over 40 athletes compete for the chance to go to NAS Nationals and the title of Mass. State Champion. Our event was to benefit one of our favorite charities, the Chelsea Soldiers Home.

1st Annual WV’s Strongest Mountaineer

The first annual WV’s Strongest Mountaineer went down Friday, August 9th at the State Fair of WV and what a fantastic contest it was. Promoter Dan Caraway finally got to see his months of hard work pay off as over 20 competitors from around the state and beyond gathered to go head to head for the title of WV’s Strongest Mountaineer. The weather stayed nice all day, we had Phil Pfister hamming it up on the mic, and we had a great mix of newbies and veterans so it was a great day.

Emonds CC dean competing for title of America’s Strongest Woman — Again
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Kristyn Whisman, Edmonds Community College Dean of Corrections Education at Monroe Correctional Complex, will compete for the title of America’s Strongest Woman in October at the North American Strongman national championship. She’s already won three times, in 2007, 2008, and 2011.

Whisman, 29, earned the right to compete at the finals Oct. 18-19 at Smitty’s Bar & Grill in Denison, TX, after being named runner-up in June’s fifth annual Washington’s Strongest Apple competition in Des Moines, WA. Whisman competed in Des Moines 10 weeks after giving birth to a baby boy.
